What if this summer wasn’t about keeping kids busy—but about helping them come alive?

Welcome to a new kind of summer learning. One that invites your child to ask questions, explore nature, use their hands, and build memories with you using just the materials you already have at home.

We’ve designed this two-week hands-on plan for parents looking to turn boredom into discovery, and screen time into science.

🌬️ WEEK 1: Bubble Science & Breathwork
Theme: Air, Pressure & Presence
Materials: Dish soap, sugar, water, straws, bowls

K–3 Activity:
Mix 1 cup water + 1 tbsp dish soap + 1 tsp sugar. Use straws to blow super bubbles. Notice how your breath changes the shape and size.

4–8 Activity:
Experiment with different breaths. Measure bubble size. Graph how sugar affects strength. Add journaling: What did you observe? What surprised you?

S.O.U.L. Learning:

Science: Exploring air pressure and molecules
Observation: Noticing shape, stretch, and stillness
Understanding: How lungs and breath control interact
Legacy: Practicing calm, presence, and play in the moment

🧂 WEEK 2: Salt Sculpture & Mineral Magic
Theme: Water, Crystals & Time
Materials: Salt, water, string, spoon, jar

K–3 Activity:
Make salt art on sticks or cardboard. Let it dry into a crunchy masterpiece.

4–8 Activity:
Grow crystals by dissolving salt in hot water and suspending a string in the solution. Observe it over 5–7 days. Record your findings.

S.O.U.L. Learning:

Science: Evaporation, solubility, and crystal formation
Observation: Daily changes in shape, size, and sparkle
Understanding: How minerals form slowly, beautifully, over time
Legacy: Learning to wait, watch, and wonder

🌱 Why These Simple Experiences Matter
✔ They engage multiple senses.
✔ They connect science to everyday life.
✔ They slow things down—in the best way.
✔ They build connection between parent and child.

When a child explores freely, with joy and structure, learning becomes not just retention—but transformation.

💫 Want More Like This?
These first two weeks are part of a larger 7-week journey we call the Curiosity Kit—a guided summer experience built on three powerful pillars:

The Hero’s Journey
Portfolio building & room transformation
NGSS-aligned science through the S.O.U.L. framework
In the full kit, kids build a Hero’s Portfolio, transform their space into a Discovery Den, and follow a story arc of wonder and self-discovery—all guided by science, creativity, and legacy-building.

We’re inviting just 50 families this summer.
