How It Works — The 2-Hour School Day™
Our research-backed model delivers more learning in less time through focused, teacher-led instruction.
Days 1–3: Onboarding
Diagnostic assessments, archetype profiling, and family intake to design a personalized academic plan.
Day 4: Launch
Student begins their 2-Hour School Day™ with a Master Teacher—core academics, mastery checks, and project work.
Ongoing: Weekly
Live teacher sessions, weekly progress reports, parent check-ins, and quarterly portfolio reviews.

Leadership & Governance
SmartHead Academy is led by experienced educators directly accountable for the academic, operational, and instructional integrity of the school.
Tonya founded SmartHead Academy to build the school she always wished existed for her own students—rigorous, personalized, and grounded in how children actually learn. She holds an active Utah educator license and brings over two decades of classroom and curriculum leadership.
Eric leads curriculum development and academic operations at SmartHead Academy. With 27 years in education, he brings deep expertise in standards alignment, mastery-based assessment, and building learning systems that scale without losing the personal touch.
Tuition
Three transparent tiers. Most Utah Fits All scholarship awards fully cover Core Hybrid tuition.
Part-time enrollment with weekly Master Teacher sessions and core curriculum access.
Full-time enrollment, 2-Hour School Day™, full curriculum, Hero's Portfolio™, and quarterly reviews.
Everything in Core Hybrid plus expanded one-on-one time, premium projects, and concierge family support.
Optional Faith-Based Learning Pathway
Families who wish to integrate faith-based curriculum may opt in to our Faith-Based Pathway, which weaves Christian worldview, biblical literacy, and character formation into the standards-aligned core. This pathway is fully optional—our default curriculum is academically rigorous and worldview-neutral.
Refund Policy
All tuition for Utah Fits All scholarship students is processed through Odyssey. Refunds, if applicable, are remitted by SmartHead Academy directly to Odyssey—never to families directly. This ensures full UFA program compliance and proper fund stewardship.
